Gucci is seeking a bright, ambitious and motivated candidate interested in interning in the Special Events department at a premier luxury brand this fall. Applicants must be able to accept school credit and available to start in the beginning of September or before. Candidates must be detail oriented and organized, proactive, professional and enthusiastic to learn. Previous experience in fashion industry a plus, but not a requirement.The Special Events internship will include the following responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Special Events department to facilitate all aspects of producing events, including invitation mailings, venue scouting and sourcing of materials, to ensure the events appropriately represent the brand image in each community
• Assist on-site in the preparation and execution for events taking place in the New York area
• Market research for relevant competitor’s events, charities and groups, and vendors in various markets throughout the North America, South America and Canada regions
• General administrative duties and daily maintenance of special events inventory consisting of gifts, uniforms, food/beverages, décor materials and shipping supplies
